A Chronic Liar

Dear roommate,

Stop telling me you are on your last bag of weed. I know and you know that you will never quit smoking. It's ok. It's part of your charm. You're a pothead. What isn't charming is hearing you constantly tell me that you've discovered the secret to quitting weed - a secret you will implement in your own life as soon as this last bag runs out...

Weed is not addictive. If you really want to "quit"... stop.

Weed actually is addictive -- but the good news is, the more you use it the more it's effect wares off...so eventually it will just stop working. You'll just "out grow" it -- course by then you might have serious body problems / depression...but it'll stop all the same.

Weed isn't addictive, it doesn't create a physical dependency. what kind of misinformed retards think that it does?

The beauty of weed is that it opens the doors for many other magical treats. :D

It's funny, a lot of addicted people tell me that this or that drug is not physically addictive. But none of them is able to stop. The only one I know that was able to quit did it when she got pregnant (but she's got other addictions).

To the person who posted this story, you should know that your roommate is not just lying to you. He's lying to himself and he actually believes it every time.

You have to smoke a lot of grass to get physically addicted to the stuff. Caffeine is more addictive.

all you narks have no idea

I quit, I just stopped. Not really that big of a deal. I would give anything for cigarettes to be half as easy to quit.

hey, assjacks that say weed isnt addictive, did you not go to sixth grade health class? It is addictive it's just that the withdrawal symptoms are not as severe compared to other drugs. if your going to argue a point on the internet at least look it up first

"No one would argue that marijuana is as addictive as alcohol or cocaine. However, it's wrong to say that it is not at all addictive. More and more studies are finding that marijuana has addictive properties. Both animal and human studies show physical and psychological withdrawal symptoms from marijuana, including irritability, restlessness, insomnia, nausea and intense dreams. Tolerance to marijuana also builds up rapidly. Heavy users need 8 times higher doses to get the same effects as infrequent users.

For a small percentage of people who use it, marijuana can be highly addictive. It is estimated that 10% to 14% of users will become heavily dependent. More than 120,000 people in the US seek treatment for marijuana addiction every year. Because the consequences of marijuana use can be subtle and insidious, it is more difficult to recognize signs of addiction. Cultural and societal beliefs that marijuana cannot be addictive make it less likely for people to seek help or to get support for quitting."

Everyone should shut the hell up. Sounds like you all could use a god buzz. "Didn't you go to sixth grade health class?" What a complete tool thing to say.

I've done some hard drugs and I can honestly say that weed is not physically addictive. But anybody can become mentally addicted to anything, which could lead to psychosomatic symptoms, but that person would also be a pussy
